Postage & packing charges are included in the item price (to UK mainland only). This service is provided at cost.
Payment options include PayPal (no account necessary) and BACS (contact us prior to ordering) or if you are local, Cash on Collection.
For overseas, or non UK mainland delivery addresses you must contact us prior to ordering.
Your item will be packed securely & appropriate for that item (sometimes using recycled materials).
Your item will be sent ‘signed for’ 2nd class via Royal Mail, or ‘signed for’ if by Courier. If you require a different delivery type you must inform us before ordering the product(s), we will then amend the total price accordingly.
If you want to add tracking, or a 1st class option this will incur an additional cost as per Royal Mail rates. Please contact me before purchasing so I can amend the invoice accordingly.
For any other destination other than mainland UK.

We (antiquesforum.co.uk) have no control of how items are handled once in the hands of a delivery firm. Even with appropriate packaging, items such as cased taxidermy, framed prints & pictures, fine porcelain or ceramics are by nature susceptible to damage during transit.
Once a courier or postal service takes responsibility of package/parcel it is for the delivery of that item. And here’s the crunch, most courier firms and the Royal Mail offer little or no compensation for damage that occur whilst in their possession. Yes you might get compensation for non delivery or loss but damaged goods are another thing, more often than not they will try and wash their hands of this issue.
It is not all doom and gloom!
I use double boxing techniques and enhanced packing measures for fragile objects, this greatly increases the chance of an item reaching it’s destination in good order (and more often than not, they do) but here’s the important bit:

Insurance for delivery
It is your choice whether to insure your purchase for damage during delivery. I will happily assist you in providing item details for that purpose should you choose to arrange such, or should you need to chase up for non-delivery.
If after receiving your item (and within 7 days of delivery you notify me) you decide that it’s not what you want I will refund you the item cost less the packing & delivery charges. Once I receive the item back from you (at your cost for packaging & postage/courier to me, and within no more than 14 days of when you notify me for a refund) I will refund the monies to the card / account it was paid.
